2001 references in Superman Returns

In Brian Singer's new film Superman Returns, Lex Luthor twice quotes Clarke's Law - "Any sufficently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." But there are other nods to Arthur C. Clarke in the movie. For example, as an airliner plummets to the ground, the passengers experience weightlessness, and Lois Lane retrieves a pen floating in the air, just as the flight attendant on the Pan Am shuttle did in 2001. Another shows Superman floating in orbit above the Earth not unlike 2001's Star Child.

I'll bet there are some other 2001 references scattered through the film. Did anyone notice?
