HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) is a "wearable robot" that can assist people with difficult walking on their own, or can be used to increase strength and endurance. Currently will run for two hours on a set of batteries. It will be sold commercially in Japan for 1.5 million yen, which is only a little over $13,000 US dollars (per Google).
