The Poetry Music Festival is held every year about this time in Poetry, Texas (not far from Quinlan, where Skidboot the Dog lives) in Luther Tankarsley's donkey pasture. The festival magically transforms the pasture into the finest musical venue in Hunt County. It's free, it's fun and the people are great. This was my second time and my wife's first, and we enjoyed an absolutely beautiful fall day in the country and live music from blues to bluegrass. 6th Poetry Music Festival
