I agonized over this entry because as a rule I don't like to reward stupidity, and the image is old (2003) but in the end I decided it was blogworthy.
The photo shows one Dave Watson sailing over the Tour De France just before being taken to the hospital with a partially separated shoulder, sore back, neck, and a severely bruised groin.
Since he survived, and his groin merely bruised and not crushed, he will probably be able to reproduce and is therefore out of contention for a Darwin award.
