VSE on 60 Minutes

NOTE: The video above has been updated. It contains the entire 11 minute segment.

Although I spend a lot of time talking about the VSE (Vision for Space Exploration), the majority of Americans have never even heard of it. This 60 Minutes segment does a pretty good job of bringing the public up to speed.

The report is generally favorable, mentioning that all of NASA's activities cost the average taxpayer 15 cents per day, but also includes the comments of Barney Frank, who echos Obama's rhetoric about how we need solve problems at home, etc.

If it did nothing else, wouldn't it be worth 15 cents per day to inspire the next generation to take up math, science and engineering? If we don't, we're going to wake up no longer a superpower, and we're goning to get our asses kicked economically and perhaps even militarily.
