AstroRoach: Defenders of ACORN

I haven't blogged about ACORN before because I didn't think there was much that could be done about it. After all, Washington has turned a blind eye towards ACORN's documented history of corruption and voter registration fraud. Those crimes were not enough to deter Congress from funneling millions of tax dollars to them in payment for their political support.

Only when recent videos taken at multiple ACORN offices across the country revealed their willingness to help a "pimp and prostitute" evade the law and set up a brothel - for underage sex slaves no less - did Congress take action. One would hope such action would be unanimous, but sadly 75 Congressmen voted to maintain ACORN funding.

I'm certain that ACORN does some good. So does cancer - after all, it brings families together, makes you reevaluate your priorities, encourages biomedical research etc. But who would argue that the good resulting from cancer outweighs the damage done? If a researcher were to ignore a cure for cancer because they wanted their grant money to keep coming, wouldn't that researcher be considered corrupt and evil?

So what do we make of Congressmen who voted to continue funding ACORN in spite of compelling evidence of widespread corruption? Here are their names:
