Russian Ekranoplan "Lun"
This "Wing In Ground-Effect" or WIG craft was the second of its type, the Lun. It was under construction at the time of the fall of the Soviet Union and although 90% complete it was never finished. The link takes you to a Russian language blog with a lot of up close and personal shots of this fascinating 400 ton vehicle. Designed as a troop carrier and missile launcher, it could reach 550 knots over water or relatively flat land.
Just as interesting is the decaying environment where the Lun rests. It has a post-Apocalyptic feel that reminds me of City 17 in the game Half-Life 2. Or certain parts of Detroit.
