The Space Shuttle Endeavour has returned safely to the Kennedy Space Center. I was curious how the gouge in the Orbiter's belly endured the reentry. Apparently, pretty well. The photo above compares the damage as seen on-orbit and just after landing. To the naked eye, it looks about the same. They may not have dodged the foam, but they've dodged another bullet.
