Yesterday we drove the nearly 700 miles between El Paso and Fate Texas. Last night we slept in our own bed in air-conditioned comfort. We got our first good night's sleep in a week, at least until the alarm went off at 5:45am. I got up and turned on the shower, and a thin stream of water dribbled from the showerhead. I adjusted the handle - I had plenty of cold water but no hot water. Oh no! The hot water gremlins had followed me home!
I tried the sink. Plenty of hot water there, so at least I knew the water heater was working. I went back to the shower and turned the water back on. It dribbled some more, then suddenly began to flow. I felt like I had dodged a bullet.
After a non-eventful 45 mile commute to work, I'm back in my quiet, air-conditioned cube. O Sweet Cube! How I have missed thy beiged panels!
